El Zamorano, Honduras

Initial Training

In November 2022, International HELP partnered with Jovenes en Camino, a boy’s home in El Zamorano, Honduras to conduct a 6-day Community Health Worker (CHW) training. The CHWs consisted of Jovenes staff members and local people. Day 1 of training was specific to the Jovenes staff, focusing on preventing and treating common childhood illnesses. In total 27 CHWs were trained, certified, and equipped to share health knowledge with the children at Jovenes and with the greater community.
