COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS
COMMUNITIES
COUNTRIES
About 29,000 children under the age of five – 21 each minute – die every day, mainly from preventable causes.* We are working to change that.
We envision a world where no one dies from preventable diseases and where people are inspired to help their communities live healthier lives. Through equipping local people within their communities with the knowledge and tools to prevent unnecessary diseases and deaths, Community Health Workers are empowered to be health leaders and can create change within their local communities.
*According to UNICEF 2018.

Community Health Workers so important

The majority of the world lacks access to basic health knowledge and health services.

Community Health Workers bridge the gap between the poor and health care.

Community Health Workers are uniquely qualified to create change, as they are trusted members of their communities.

Community Health Workers can help with many issues, such as nutrition, sanitation, maternal health, and first aid.
