Bendición de Dios, El Salvador

Initial Training

Due to the rural nature of caserios (villages) in Texistepeque, El Salvador, access to a local health center is quite limited, leading to a high incidence of preventable health diseases among these communities. IHELP plans to train Community Health Workers (CHWs) across each of the six Texistepeque districts. With limited access to public transportation, our CHWs will be able to help provide health education and resources directly to their community. Bendición de Dios is Project #4 of our Texistepeque Rural Caserios Project.

It was very nice to learn something that I had no idea how to do, like taking arterial pressure and so much more. I thank God and you for taking the time and for teaching us something so important. It was a pleasure to share with you moments of learning and laughter. We hope to see you again and thank you for everything.

I feel very grateful for the help you all gave us. This experience is something that for years I had wanted to learn and I know that there is still more to learn but for me, it was very important to have received these classes.
