Tegucigalpa, Honduras

Initial Training

In May of 2017, IHELP partnered with Iglesia Rios de Agua Vida in Tegucigalpa, Honduras to train 22 Community Health Workers (CHWs) on needed topics of basic health care and disease prevention. Several of the trainees were from remote areas that had no medical access; they are thrilled to now be able to provide basic health care to their communities.

Training Topics

  • Vital Signs
  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Sanitation
  • First Aid
  • Nutrition
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Maternal Health
  • Malaria & Zika
  • Skin Infections

Now, we can now help ourselves by educating and informing people how to prevent so many diseases that we can avoid, changing our habits, diet, and practicing exercise, to lead a better life.
