Hi there!
Drea here. 🙂 Thanks for taking some time to read a little bit about me and why I decided to be part of International HELP. I’ll try to keep it brief, real, and true to me.
To be quite honest, I never saw myself working in the area of public health; and even more so, I never could have imagined co-founding a non-profit that addresses key issues with public health! But there are a few things I am passionate about and one of those things is helping people achieve their dreams. This whole experience with International HELP has opened my eyes and heart to a great need. You may have had the chance to read about our founder, Monterey Starkey. If there is someone I truly believe in and I know can change this world and make it a better place, it is her! Keep your eye out for International HELP. God is going to do some extraordinary things through this organization and under the leadership of Monterey! I know that. I am a part of International HELP because I believe that one person can change the world and that one person can challenge one more person and then we have a movement. I’m a dreamer. I’m a hopeless romantic. I believe that my generation can make a difference and I believe that we can change the world. The fact the MILLIONS of lives are taken by diseases that can be prevented just breaks my heart. With the resources and knowledge that we have today, that is unacceptable. I refuse to accept that and so does International HELP. I’d love to see more dreamers, hopeless romantics, rebels, and people fed up with the status quo come and be a part of International HELP. Let’s change the world my friends!
