Intern Works to Expand Nutrition Training Materials

February 27, 2019

My name is Kelsey, I am currently an MPH Program Intern with International Help.  International Help does so much for not only their community but for the communities around them and all over the world.  The reason I wanted to work with International Help is because this organization truly has a heart for others. Of course International Help’s goal is to teach communities about health, but above all, they care about the people they are helping.

When I began my journey through the Master’s of Public Health program at Liberty University, I knew that my end goal was to be in a career path where I am able to help others.  International Help has made it possible for me to use my education and knowledge of health and nutrition to help others, which is ultimately what I want to do with my life and in my future career.  This organization has given me the opportunity to pursue my passions while using real world applications of what I have studied throughout school, therefore providing the experience I need for my future career.

Knowing that my work with International Help could change the lives of people I have never met and may never meet is beyond empowering.

Current Work: Nutrition Training Materials

It excites me to know that the project that I am currently helping with may be used to educate people all over the world about nutrition and health.  Currently I am helping to assemble training materials based on basic nutrition principles.  This will be added to International Help’s projects and used to help further train Community Health Workers on nutrition.  Knowing that my work with International Help could change the lives of people I have never met and may never meet is beyond empowering.
